September saw us at a brand new course at Trailhead Park, and it worked well! The course was flat, fast, and had some nice trees and scenery to take in. We had roughly 65 runners and lovely weather – not too hot, not too windy. Nice way to begin a September morning! If you’re interested, check out some of the photos here.

We had a fine turnout of 56 runners on a beautiful day for running long. Chris Desilets and Karen Voss won the 20M race and each won a free pair of shoes from Road Runner Sports in Westminster! Joel O’Hair and Cindy Kuznik won the 10M race and a $2o gift certificate from RRS. Thanks to the runners and volunteers who spent the lovely warm morning with us – check out the pictures here. And thanks, too, to great sponsors Road Runner Sports (2 pairs of free shoes – wow!) and Gu Energy (supplies during the run)–your sponsorship makes a big difference!

70 people joined us on August 29th for the first of three 10M/20M Marathon Training Series races. Tristan Mitchell and Cathi Webber won the 20M race and each won a free pair of shoes from Road Runner Sports in Westminster! We had a great turnout for the August race – 115 runners & walkers, and even more people enjoying the potluck! I’d guess we had at least 150 people and everyone we talked to had fun. We had visitors from Loiusiana (the Barkemeyer family, on vacation from Louisiana, joined our club as a family, and all 6 family members ran!), old friends come back to us (Rudy Ramsey, a member from the 70’s, rejoined and ran with us!), and lots of other guests.
