November Trophy Series – 9M at Prairie Gateway Park

November sees RMRR running at Prairie Gateway Park in Commerce City. Our 10M Trophy Series and 5k races will start at 9am on Sunday, Nov 4. This is our next to last race for the year, and a great opportunity for people to improve their Trophy Series scores. We run on a relatively flat and fast packed gravel trail – good surface for comfortable running and some faster times!

Two important timing things to remember:

Our November race starts at 9am.
Daylight Savings Time begins at 2am before our race. Set your clock back the night before…or just come early to sign in and help. Either one is ok!
One more thing…in case you missed it, the race starts at 9am! And set your clock back!

Race Day Details

Date: November.
Time: 9am start. Show up at least 45 minutes early to get your tag and warm up. Don’t make the volunteers wait for you – they want to run, too!
Course: race runs on the Prairie Gateway trails and to the north on the Arsenal border trail.

October 2018 Trophy Series Results – Thornton Carpenter Park

We had some cooler weather for the October race, and that led to a lighter turnout. Several of you also opted for the 5k today to try something a little shorter. All of us got to deal with a few hills and some hard running!

Deb Cunningham won the Fast Female award, and Eric Greene won for the men. The top three TS runners were Dave Cunningham, Robert Shayne, and Scott Dailey. Our racewalkers either did the 5k or raced in the USATF racewalking championship for Colorado on our same course.

For the 5k, Chewey Lam and Ang Hamel won our racewalking titles, while on the running side, Clint Gersabeck, Danne Puckle, and Bob Gersabeck finished on top.

Eric Greene and Ric Robinette were our RDs. Thanks for a great race, guys! Thanks, too, to all our fine volunteers. These races wouldn’t happen without you.

September 2018 Trophy Series Results – Westminster City Park

Lots of running at our most recent Trophy Series race. 10M, 20M, in between, 5k, TS and MTS…lots of running going on.

We had a rather light turnout, and lots of people opted for the 5k distance today rather than run the full 10 miles. Even so, we had some good races to the finish line.

Pam Borealis edged Deb Cunningham for the Fast Female award, and Eric Greene won for the men. The top three TS runners were Rebecca Walker, David Rothenburger, and Brad Labarry. Nice job, friends!

October Trophy Series – 8M and 5k at Thornton’s Carpenter Park

Sunday October 7 takes RMRR back to a relatively new location for our October race! Thornton’s Carpenter Park will see RMRR runners take on a 8M course that loops around the park and surrounding neighborhoods. The course has a nice winding feel and a few little hills to add challenge. It’s nice!

Our plan is to park and start at the south side of the park. There is a large parking area there (link below). Park in the west area near the restrooms, and the race will start there.

You know how this works: show up an hour early to get your tag and warm up. Members are free, and guest runners $10 for the Trophy Series race. As always, we’ll need volunteers to help at the start/finish and at the aid station out on the course. Please send a note to the RMRR Volunteer Lead if you’re able to help whether as a runner or a non-runner!
