May Trophy Series – Stapleton Central Park

May takes us to Stapleton Central park and a 5 mile and 5k race. Don’t forget – May means another 8am start, so don’t be late!

May also usually brings us fine weather, so let’s hope for a grand day and that we can get back to racing!

Race Day Details

Date: Sunday May 3
Time: 8am start. Show up at least 45 minutes early to get your tag and warm up. Don’t make the volunteers wait for you – they want to run, too!
Course: race runs on concrete bike paths through the park.

RMRR Activities in April and May 2020 – CANCELED

The Board of Directors for Rocky Mountain Road Runners has elected to suspend all activities for April and May 2020. This includes our April 5 Trophy Series race set for City Park, the May Trophy Series race at Stapleton, and our Marathon Training Series races.

Unprecedented developments regarding COVID-19 required the board to make this move. We want to ensure the health of our members and our community. We also hope our members, the running community, and all of our neighbors persevere during these extraordinary times.

No decisions have been made regarding later races and club activities. We will provide updates in future weeks. Keep running on your own, and stay safe and positive!

February 2020 Platte River 7M and 5k Results

Our February 7M and 5k races happen on SUNDAY February 16 at the Platte River Bar and Grill on S Santa Fe. This is a club favorite because we can stay warm inside before the race, run on a nice course, then come back to food and drink at PRBG. Nice!

Our course goes north on the South Platte Trail, then turns around and comes back on the opposite side of the river. It’s a nice fast course that’s well-marked and fast.

After the race we’ll have awards and some club-sponsored food and drink inside the bar. You can also get a beer and your lunch –great way to finish up the morning and thank our hosts at the Platte River.

March 2020 Trophy Series – 3M at Crown Hill!

March sees us at Crown Hill and a nice 3M run around Crown Hill Park. We begin and finish across from Wheat Ridge High School, and we’ll see you in the Wheat Ridge parking lot for registration and post-finish activity.

The course circles the main park, then returns for a loop around the park lake before running down the hill and around the turn to the finish line. It’s a fast concrete course that’s over before you know it.

We’ll begin racing at 9am, and everyone will race the 3 mile distance – no 5k this month!

Location = Wheat Ridge High School on 32nd Ave between Wadsworth and Kipling
Registration opens at 8am
PLEASE PLEASE show up early to get your bib and let our volunteers get ready. Registration will CLOSE at 8:45am sharp. Come early and don’t miss out!
