November 2019 Trophy Series – 9M at Prairie Gateway Park

November sees RMRR running at Prairie Gateway Park in Commerce City. Our 10M Trophy Series and 5k races will start at 9am on Sunday, Nov 3. This is our next to last race for 2019, and a great opportunity for people to improve their Trophy Series scores. Most of our race traverses a fairly flat and fast packed gravel trail – good surface for comfortable running and some speedy times!

Two important timing things to remember:

Our November race starts at 9am.
Daylight Savings Time begins at 2am before our race. Set your clock back the night before…or just come early to sign in and help. Either one is ok!
One more thing…in case you missed it, the race starts at 9am! And set your clock back!

Volunteers are always needed. Please contact the RMRR Volunteer Coordinator and let her know you’re available

September 2019 Trophy Series – Results

Friends, Sunday September brought us the September Trophy Series race, 5k, AND our Marathon Trailing series race #2.

Eric Greene and Deb Cunningham were the fast male and fast female this month. Our trophy series winner was Dan Shaw, followed by Ben Dugas and Ha Nguyen. Our race walker field was small…and Michael Blanchard was once again our winner! In the 5k, Ruth Serafini won, followed by Ariel Walker and Helene Balligand.

September 2019 Trophy Series – 10M and 5k (and 20M!) at Westminster City Park

Hey, friends. This month’s Trophy Series will be combined with our Marathon Training Race event, and we’ll hold them all at Westminster City Park.

We’ll have the 10 Mile Trophy Series race, a 5k for those who don’t want to run the TS distance, and both 10M and 20M Marathon Training races for others.

Start times:
Marathon training at 7am!!!
Trophy Series 10M and 5k at 8am!!

The course follows the Big Dry Creek trail north and east for 5 miles, then turns around and returns to the start. Easy smooth running with a simple course, and it’s tailor-made for a fast race.

It’s important that you NOT park near our start. Please park on the south side of the park by the baseball fields. We will be asking those who try to part near the start to move…please don’t park there!
Westminster City Park Driving and Parking Directions

You know how this works: show up an hour early to get your tag and warm up. Members are free, and guest runners $10 for the Trophy Series or 10M MTS, $25 for the 20M version. As always, we’ll need volunteers to help at the start/finish and at the two aid stations out on the course. Please send a note to the RMRR Volunteer Lead if you’re able to help whether as a runner or a non-runner!

August 2019 Trophy Series – Results

Friends, Friday August 2 brought us the August Trophy Series race and cookout/potluck at deKoevend Park in Centennial. This year our friends with the Colorado Masters joined us for a big crowd and a great dinner afterward.

Eric Greene and Deb Cunningham were the fast male and fast female this month. Our trophy series winner was Jamie DeFelice, followed by Emelia DeFelice and Paul Serafini. Our races walkers were Michael Blanchard in first, followed by Richard Ellis.
