City Park 4M – April 2016 Trophy Series Results!

We had a lovely spring morning for our race on Sunday, and lots of people put in good times on a fast course that really lets you see and chase your friends! The weather was just perfect for some fast times, and we got them. Sabine Preisinger and Eric Greene were the fast female and male runners, while Jacob Sushinsky and Mike Blanchard won the TS Run and Racewalk divisions.

Thank you to race directors Stephanie Struble and Brian Bergevin for another nicely run race. Thanks as well to all the volunteers who turned out to take pictures, work the finish line, and make sure no one made wrong turns on the course! Our races would not go well without you!

Lisa Wilson is our Volunteer of the Month for March, and a good example of how our volunteers make the club run. Lisa manages our marketing work, running Facebook and other marketing activities for us. That’s how we reach people and let folks know about RMRR! Thanks for your hard work Lisa.

Results! March 3M at Crown Hill

March was kind to us, and the 3M race at Crown Hill was a delight from every perspective! 130 people joined us to run on a lovely spring-like day, and that includes 22 new members…just fantastic.

Jayme Brindle (one of the new members – welcome!) and Eric Greene were the fast female and male for the day. Jayme ran 19:57 / 6:39 pace, and Eric ran 16:39 / 5:33 pace. Mike Blanchard led the Trophy Series results for racewalkers, followed by Jan Hill and Reinaldo Rosario. Jay Holmes led the TS runners, followed by Deserae Juarez and Jessica Aguiniga. Nice work all!

We also had a great post-race raffle with items from sponsors like Road Runner Sports and Denver Sports Medicine AND all the white elephant items people brought from home. What a blast and fun way to finish the morning.

Thanks to all the volunteers who helped make the day successful, and thanks to race directors Janet Gold and Ken Applegate for another well-run race!

RESULTS!! February 2016 Trophy Series

Well, Valentine’s Day treated our RMRR runners well. We had wonderful weather and a big turnout for the February 7M and 5k races at the Platte River Bar and Grill. We had some strong running performances, then all enjoyed coming in for chips and a drink at the PRBG. Nice!

Noah Turbyfill won the 5k race, followed by Clint Gersabeck and Paul DeFelice. In our 7M race, Heather Reddy came in first, with Angela Stevens and Maureen Harvey coming in 2nd and 3rd. In the Race Walker category, Janet Fairs won, followed by Mike Blanchard and Jan Hill. Finally, with lots of speedy people out there, Sabine Preisinger and Eric Greene were our fast runners of the day.

We had a fantastic turnout of over 120 runners, and lots of people enjoyed the great food at Platte River, who were fantastic hosts. Thanks PRBG – you folks rock!

January 2016 RESULTS!! – 10k and 5k at Twin Lakes Park

Sunday’s Trophy Series race had some cold temps but good running times. We had lots of new members running, and the morning ended up being quite nice! We also had a good turnout of over 100 runners.

Eric Greene and Sabine Preisinger were the Fast Male and Fast Female for the day in the 10k, and Mitch Chesbro, Anne Gibbs, and James Worthen won the Trophy Series prizes. In the 5k, new member Chris Woodward led the men, and new member Stacy MacLean won for the women.

Thanks to race directors Ric Robinette, Jeff Olson, and Michael Hopkins for doing a great job of marking the course and making sure we had plenty of munchies at the end.
