Stapleton Central Park – May Trophy Series

May takes us to Stapleton Central park and a run 5 mile and 5k run. Don’t forget – May means we begin at 8am, so don’t be late!

May usually brings us fine weather, so let’s hope for a repeat of April. It can get hot, though, so be ready for anything.

Race Day Details

Date: Sunday May 4
Time: 8am start. Show up at least a half hour early to get your tag and warm up. Don’t make the volunteers wait for you – they want to run, too!
Course: race runs on concrete bike paths through the park.
Location: Stapleton Central Park in Denver.

Spring 2014 Marathon Training Series #1 – Results and Photos

It was a nice day for a long run – and 61 of you did just that! The March 30 Marathon Training Series race saw lots of people getting ready for their spring goal races.

Cecilia Pascual Garrido and Peyton Daily were the 1 and 2 women for the 10M race, with Carl Mather and Keith Johnson doing the same for the men. Steve Chu and Chris Desilets finished 1-2 in the 20M race, and Taylor Survil and Randi Strand finished in 1st and 2nd for the women.

Thanks to race director David Rothenburger and all the volunteers who made things go so well!

City Park 4Mile – April Trophy Series w/ Results!

What a great running day Saturday was. Cool temps, beautiful sun, and no wind. Finally, we really did get the day we were hoping for.

And results reflect it. Many people ran well on Saturday, and we had some fast times. We also had a fantastic raffle with giveaways from Boulder Running Company, Runners Roost, the North Fork 50M race (free entry!), 3W Racing, and a ton of stuff from Bolder Boulder thanks to Patrick Correll.

Thanks to all the volunteers who did such a great job!

March 2014 Trophy Series – Crown Hill 3M results

Earlier this article had said “We could have bluebird weather, or we could see heavy snow. You never quite know for March!”…and that was prophetic. March really came in like a lion. It was 10 degrees and too damn cold unless you were running, but our race directors, volunteers, and runners all made it work! We had 104 participants who ran well, and everyone survived the ice and snow on the course

Date:   Sunday, March 2
Time:   9am start.
Course:  course was icy in spots, but the volunteer team had gone out and used a broom to create a marked path on almost the entire course. Fantastic!
