RMRR Board Meeting July 2012

Treasurer’s Report
- Membership revenue is up in both regular memberships, as well as Space Federal Credit Union memberships. We received $510 from the credit union in June. This is a big turnaround from last year.
- We continue to receive small amounts of revenue from Brand Evolutions (merchandise income).
- I show the revenue from the Father’s Day Mile to be $2,035. This is similar, but not exactly what Deb has. My guess this is due to cash payments. I’ve counted $500 of cash from the cash box to be FDM, and it’s possible that there was more revenue that is technically still in the cash box.
- Similarly, on the expense side, I show the FDM expenses to be less than what Deb has. Once again, I’m guessing it’s cash. We both come up with an almost identical net loss of almost $1,400.
- YTD we have a net loss of $1,443
Trophy Race – June 4K – Bible Park
Everyone thought the race went well, but the distance markers on the course were confusing
Results -Trophy Race: David C got the issue with the scoring resolved.
Part of the griddle were missing when trying to return it to the rental place.
Father’s Day Mile
Deb: went better than thought it would go, but the club lost money on the race. Had 77 runners that ran the race.
Comments: The board will decide in the future if we want to do this race next year.
Trophy Series Race – July 8 am – 2 mile at Stone House

- Volunteers: Need more non race Volunteers. Tom & Rosalie are the only 2 non race volunteers that are signed up for this TS Race.
- Race course: New course, the start/finish line will be in different location.
- Other race issues: No water station needed for this short race. Will not need any course marshals, but will need people for the finish line.
Raffle: have two entries for Denver Marathon and one for Sand Creek half. Do we want to consider a $5 Raffle for give away? Decision: Give one away in July & one in August.

Deb C for her work on the Fathers Day Mile.
Marketing
updating what’s seen on the Colorado Runner website, no other activity.
Fall Marathon Series
- 3 MTS races, Dates are as follows: Aug 12, 26, & Sep 9th. Will be at Westminster Bike Path.
- Janet F, Nick, & Deb will direct one of the 3 MTS races.
Track
- Wed – North High 6:15pm 32nd and Federal
- 15 to 20 people are showing up. City says no bathrooms open for summer; there is a portapotti, but it’s on the baseball field behind a fence. No ideas for solutions….

Other Issues
No race director for the August TS Race. We only have a permit for the pavilion where the picnic will be, so registration will be there as well. Dave C will ask Jason Worrell and Rob Sanchez if they’re interesting in directing with him.
