Pancake time was fantastic, both for running and eating!  Our 4k race at Denver’s Bible Park is always a big success.  Lots of people, a great breakfast, lovely morning…what a deal for us all.

The nice weather saw some nice running, while a scoring glitch caused delays in these results.  I think it’s all worked out now!

Scott Newman did a great job as race director.  Scott, thanks for putting on a great race, and thanks to the many volunteers who helped out both on the course and as breakfast chefs.  Pam Dailey in particular was our pancake preparer extraordinaire–thank you for helping out, Pam!

Thanks, also to our fine sponsors for a great raffle.  Boulder Running Company and Runners Roost both provided great gift certificates, and we also had race entries from the Camp Eden 5k in Wondervu, RoadID certificates, and more.  Thanks to Tom-Tom for coming to show of their new watches.  They looked really nice, and locked on to GPS satellites REALLY fast.

June means Bible Park and PANCAKES!  Time for our annual pancake breakfast after a bracing 4k run.  We’ll have pancakes and all the fixings, so bring your family and your appetite.

Let’s hope for some great June weather, or even a repeat of the cool morning from our lovely May race.  It can get bright and hot, though, so have the sunscreen on.

Race Day Details

Date:   Sunday June 1
Time:   8am start.  Show up at least a half hour early to get your tag and warm up.  Don’t make the volunteers wait for you – they want to run, too!
Course:  race runs on bike paths through the park and the Highline Canal trail.  Mix of dirt and pavement.
Location:  Bible Park in Denver – on Yale a couple of blocks east of Monaco.

We’re always looking for running and non-running volunteers, so come help out!

We had a great turnout and great running weather for the 5M and 5k race at Denver’s Stapleton Central Park.  Great turnout with 112 runners and racewalkers.  Lyndsey Cox, Chance Weeks, and Andrew McMorrow won the top 3 Trophy Series spots, while Mike Blanchard won the racewalking division.  Fast female today was Deb Cunningham with a time of 36:30 (7:18 pace), and Eric Greene was fast male with a time of 30:13 (6:03 pace).  Jay Winkelhake won the 5k with a time of 18:38 (6:03 pace).
