Fall Marathon Training Series

2008 Fall Marathon Training Series
at Big Dry Creek Trail, Westminster

July 20, 2008 7:00AM - 10 miles
August 3, 2008 7:00AM - 15 miles
August 24, 2008 7:00AM - 20 miles
September 14, 2008 7:00AM - 20 miles

Fully-supported long runs that fit perfectly in training schedules for Boulder Marathon, the Denver Marathon, Chicago, and other fall full- and half-marathons.

Courses are 80% hard-packed dirt, 20% concrete, with occasional mild hills. Course markings every mile. Aid stations with water, electrolyte drinks, and energy bars or gels every 2-3 miles. Post-race food and drinks, awards for top 3 males and females.

Registration
10- and 15-mile races: $15 in advance, $20 day of race
20-mile races: $20 in advance, $25 day of race
($5 off entry fees for RMRR members)
Register for all four races at once for only $60 ($40 for RMRR members)

Directions:

Big Dry Creek Trail, Westminster, CO (Westminster City Park)

From US-36:

1. Exit Hwy 36 at Sheridan Ave.
2. Go North (Right) on Sheridan.
3. Follow Sheridan North to 105th.
3. Turn left on 105th. You are now at the entrance to Westminster City Park.
4. Take the first right on a road that curves around behind the building. That road goes North past the Rec Ctr and the soccer fields.
5. You'll see a parking lot on your left at the bottom of the hill. Park in the lot and walk downhill to the bridge on the bike path.

 

From I-25:

1. From I-25, at exit 221, west on 104th Ave. (3.5 miles) to Sheridan Blvd.
2. Go North (Right) on Sheridan.
3. Follow Sheridan North to 105th.
3. Turn left on 105th. You are now at the entrance to Westminster City Park.
4. Take the first right on a road that curves around behind the building. That road goes North past the Rec Ctr and the soccer fields.
