July 2013 Trophy Series at Stone House - Ice Cream!

The 2M Stone House race was fast and thankfully short on a warm day. We had 113 runners – a great turnout for the July 4 weekend.

There was ice cream after, so that must have been the key to our good attendance! We had lots of ice cream, great toppings, Cool Whip – I saw many creative sundaes and ice cream mustaches. Thanks to David Rothenburger and Scott Kukel for giving us a great race and great food. Thanks, too, to all the volunteers who make such a big difference. These races don’t happen without you!

Hilarie Ryals, Bill Foster, and Dennis Jouett were the top three TS runners, and Janet Fairs and Ed Guiff were top racewalkers. Deb Cunningham and Scott Kukel were the fast runners of the day, while Jan Hill and Michael Blanchard were the fast racewalkers.

August wraps up our food-oriented summer races with the fabulous Friday night run and BBQ/potluck at deKoevend Park. We always have the most amazing collection of good food at this race, and everyone always looks forward to it. It’s one of the best attended races of the year for good reason, so make your plans now to join us on Friday August 2. Details coming soon!
