Why did you start running/walking: Dad was running so I decided to accompany him. Wanted to excel at something and running had a huge appeal. Frank Shorter and Steve P. had influence too.

Favorite Workout: Speedwork. Sprints 400m and under. Hill repeats.
Most satisfying performance: Not many…let’s see. 2 time finisher of Hawaii Ironman in Kona , HI. Course record Mainland 70.3 Triathlon in 1983. 2:40 marathon Long Beach- 1984. 2 time finisher of Bob Cook Mt Evans hillclimb. 2004- Finished race competing on my Folding Bike (28#). Winner CSULB mini tri 1987 (22:15 4 mile leg). First marathon age 14 3:28 Palos Verdes Marathon. Averaging 7 min/ mile at Bolder Boulder 2008 with minimal training.
Favorite RMRR event: June TS Stone House Park , July TS-Pancake breakfast, Aug TS BBQ (fun fun fun)
What do you like about RMRR: The people are super cool and I have made some good friends. Sad that some of the really cool people have disappeared over the years. Love the monthly races and catching up. Track Workouts- the camaradarie is unbelieveable. The 15% discounts at RR and BRC are extremely handy as well.
Other: I am a certified Personal Trainer and was a Certified Spinning Instructor, but hated it. I speak very good Spanish for a gringo. No vos sabeis eso, eh? I play the drums and sing pretty well. My favorite band of all time is Love. RIP Arthur, Kenny and Bryan.
