Why did you start running/walking: I had run for several years and stopped after my son was born. When my dad passed away in 2006 i started up again to help deal with the depression of losing my dad. I found that i was much slower but i am realizing that does not matter so much to me anymore. I enjoy racing and competing against myself more than anything. I like to set personal goals for myself. Running has been a way to deal with the day to day stress and make me feel like i can pretty much do anything. My goal this year is to finally complete a marathon. Its one of those things i have always wanted to do but keep making excuses as to why i “can’t.” I signed my sister and myself up for the Philadelphia Marathon. I am ver excited to do it with her!
