Take C470 to Wadsworth.  Go south about 1/2 mile to the Chatfield State Park entrance.  When you come in the main entrance, you will hit a T intersection and stop sign.  You can see the swim beach ahead of you.  Turn right, then take an almost immediate left.  This “frontage road” will take you to the beach parking lot, and that’s where you’ll find the staging area.
