Race Results

We had an lovely cool morning for the May Trophy Series race. The previous evening’s rain cleared the air, and lots of people beat their predict times, always an indication of good running weather. We saw over 100 people for the 5M Trophy Series and the %k. Thanks to Janet Fairs, Mike Blanchard, and their volunteer crew for running a good race. Eric Greene posted the fast time for men, while Karen Voss did the same for the women. Larry Loften, Julie Carroll, and Maria Dennis placed 1 – 2 – 3 in the Trophy Series results.

What was predicted as an awful running day ended up with a lovely beginning! 31 runners braved the possible elements for the second Marathon Training Series run of the spring, and their efforts paid big dividends. It was cool and great for running for the 10M crew, and the 20 milers did fine until wind popped up for the last 5-7 miles. Springtime in the Rockies!

Several new volunteers, include Bryanne Sullivan, Anne Gross, and Brian Davenport, helped make sure the aid stations worked well. We had an absolutely fantastic day for our April Trophy Series race. It actually got hot! Good turnout with roughly 120 people, and a well-organized race and creatively marked up race course by Brian and Stephanie Struble. Peter Vail posted the fast time for men, while Eric Greene was the fast member runner. Peyton Dailey (14 years old – crazy!) won the women’s race. Nancy Nash, Tina Akin, and Joe Maurer placed 1 – 2 – 3 in the Trophy Series results.
