March TS:

– Scoring a bit problematic, but Adam figured it out.  Good weather, good turnout, lots of kids.

April TS

            – Volunteers – looking good

            – Other items for the race.  Stephanie will get more Gu, Gatorade.

            – Course – scoring.  Brian B will do this, received scoring gear from Adam.

            – Dr. Jeff Stripling with Denver Chiropractic Center will attend

Volunteer of the Month – I did not write down who we picked!  Was it Rosalie R?

October 10 mile – Think we will use Cottonwood Park in Parker.

Need to follow their rules; want us to park at an abandoned shopping area nearby (where Funugyz used to be) and have only race setup at the park lot.

$250 deposit, but no other fee.

They want us to flag a tough blind corner near a bridge (if we use it).

Need a special use permit from Parker, but otherwise no fee.

Social Activities / Marketing

            – Wed Long Runs         mostly faster runners, almost all daylight now

            – Track Workouts – Start April 7 @ Manual  Thursdays
            – will NOT have Sunday workouts – Will is not doing it this year.

            – Dave C wants to have a potluck at their house, will talk to Deb about it.  Some time in June?

Father’s Day Mile

not quite dead….  Still want to try to make it work with Wash Park as the location (diagonal and run around south end is roughly 1M).  Idea is doing it small this time to see how it goes; few or no prizes, same Friday night.  David will talk to Janet about a permit.

Marathon Training Series

Brian and Steph doing the next one on 10April (same day at Platte ½)

            – How did first race go? – good turnout.  Sonja at RR Lakewood gave us 8 raffle prizes; the volunteers took bib numbers during the race and drew names, so people got prizes at the finish.

            – Registration – 62 people, 58 finishers.  Roughly ½ did the 10

            – Volunteers ( 2 water stations 3, 5, 7, 10, 13, 15, 17)

            – Course easy to mark, manage.

            – Mentioned in RMRR Facebook page, nice coverage in the Post on Friday

Need a 2M course to replace Bible Park for the July race.  Options – Expo Park in Aurora, Clement Park, maybe Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield.  Who is looking at it?

Membership – lots of student memberships at last race.  Decided to treat them as members, send renewals when the time comes.
