We had a great turnout and great running weather for the 5M and 5k race at Denver’s Stapleton Central Park. Great turnout with 112 runners and racewalkers. Lyndsey Cox, Chance Weeks, and Andrew McMorrow won the top 3 Trophy Series spots, while Mike Blanchard won the racewalking division. Fast female today was Deb Cunningham with a time of 36:30 (7:18 pace), and Eric Greene was fast male with a time of 30:13 (6:03 pace). Jay Winkelhake won the 5k with a time of 18:38 (6:03 pace).
Thanks to Janet Fairs and Mike Blanchard for putting on a great race and thanks to the many volunteers who helped out. Janet was also last month’s Volunteer of the Month for her work securing permits for the club–thanks Janet! Also big thanks to Boulder Running Company and 3W Races for all the nice samples and raffle prizes.
