February Trophy Series–Cold but Nice Race Day
Cold but clear, we had a fine race on the South Platte Trail at the Platte River Bar and Grill in Littleton. It was 15 degrees at the start, but no wind and some sun helped make it a nice running day. It was especially nice to have the nice warm bar waiting when we were done. Thanks to Pancho and his crew for treating us so nicely! Check out race results and photos.
RMRR 2012 Planning Update
You already knew that the RMRR board has approved a plan for 2012 with a goal of building a stronger, more active RMRR. We’ve assigned leaders, we’re planning activities, and we’re also looking for people interested in being a part of the action. There’s a role for anyone who is interested! See more about the plan and take a look at the volunteer roles we’re looking to fill.
2011 Banquet – Lots of Fun!
We had a lot of fun at the 2011 Volunteer and Awards banquet. It was neat to see so many people at Fox Hollow. Deb Cunningham came up with some nice awards for volunteers and race directors, and you’ll be seeing lots of Trophy Series winners with new shirts at the next race! Take a look at some of the pictures, and think about joining us next year.
Final 2011 Results – Link Lubken Wins Trophy Series!
A strong December effort placed Link Lubken at the top of some very tight RMRR Trophy Series rankings for 2011–congratulations to Link! Deb Cunningham finished right behind in second place, and she also wins the Fast Female award for 2011, and new dad Adam Lee came in third. Eric Greene wrapped up a great year of running and wins the Fast Male award. Mike Blanchard wins the Racewalker trophy again with his amazing walking speed. Finally, David Rothenburger wins the illustrious Ric Robinette Resolute Runner award for having the highest total race scores over the past four years. Congratulations to everyone and thanks for a great running year.
